Harvesting lacquer shoots in Jirisan Mountain

On the 17th, Jang Chul-an and his wife pick lacquer shoots, the best spring vegetables, at Uitan-ri, Macheon-myeon, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, at the foot of Jirisan Mountain. Lacquer, called the queen of spring greens, is collected from late April to early May and is gaining popularity among gourmets because of its savory and unique scent and taste.
