KB Prasak Bank, a Cambodian subsidiary of KB Kookmin Bank (bank president Lee Jae-geun), will start supporting payment services for E-Mart 241st store in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to target the local payment and settlement market.
KB Prasak Bank has been preparing to enter the local payment and settlement market in February by signing a business agreement with Saihan Partners, a joint venture between Hallim Architecture Group and Saison Group, to smoothly link financial services related to E-Mart 24's entry into Cambodia.
The opening ceremony of E-Mart 241st store in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, was attended by David Sambo, CEO of Saison Brother Holdings, Park Jin-soon, chairman of Hallim Architecture Group, Kang In-seok, managing director of E-Mart 24, Ohm Ssam is KB Prasak Bank, Kim Hyun-jong, vice president of KB Prasak Bank, and more than 200 officials.
E-Mart 24 Cambodia's first store is located in BKK1, where K-culture is most active, including Korean marts, K-foods, and Korean franchises. Starting with Cambodia's first store, Saihan Partners plans to open 10 stores within this year and 100 stores within five years, and KB Prasak Bank plans to expand support for payment services accordingly.
