OKA will host the 2nd World Korean Business Forum and Export Consultation focusing on K-Food at Studio 159 in COEX, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on November 23.
Co-organized with COEX, the event aims to facilitate business exchanges between overseas Korean entrepreneurs and domestic companies. This follows the first event held on August 29-30 in Songdo Convensia, Incheon, which was centered on K-Beauty.
This export consultation coincides with the 2024 COEX Food Week (19th Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition) held at the same venue starting November 20, creating an anticipated synergy effect.
Notably, 20 buyers specializing in K-Food from the Overseas Korean Business Advisory Group (OK BIZ), launched by the Korean Overseas Agency in October, will participate. OK BIZ is a network of overseas Korean business experts with a deep understanding of global markets and business practices. The group was established during the 22nd World Korean Business Convention (October 22-24, Jeonbuk National University).
At the event, the advisory group will share insights on global export-import trends in major markets like the U.S. and China, as well as strategies for enhancing exports of domestic food products. This will take place during the opening ceremony and forum from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
In the afternoon, the advisory group will engage in purchase consultations with domestic companies participating in COEX Food Week until 6 PM. With OK BIZ’s extensive global distribution network, the consultations are expected to lead to increased K-Food exports.
