On March 26th (local time), Hyundai Motor Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) in Ellabell, Georgia.
HMGMA is a strategic production base that will drive Hyundai Motor Group's global growth and serve as a key hub for realizing the future of mobility. It is also expected to significantly strengthen economic cooperation between South Korea and the U.S. and contribute to the sustainable growth of both countries.
The ceremony was attended by over 500 people, including Brian P. Kemp, Governor of Georgia, Buddy Carter, U.S. Congressman, Ángel Cabrera, President of Georgia Tech, Korean Ambassador to the U.S. Cho Hyun-dong, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Euisun Chung, Vice Chairman Jae-hoon Chang, Hyundai Motor’s CEO José Muñoz, Kia’s CEO Ho-sung Song, and HMGMA executives and employees.
