The 23rd World Korean Business Convention, held in Atlanta, USA from April 17 to 20, came to a successful close with a closing ceremony and farewell luncheon on the final day.

Co-hosted by the Overseas Koreans Agency (OKA) and the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of the USA (KAACUSA), and co-organized by Maeil Business Newspaper, MBN, the Korea Federation of SMEs, and the Atlanta–Georgia Korean Chamber of Commerce, the convention gathered global Korean business leaders for four days of networking and economic exchange.

During the event, business consultations totaling $660 million (approx. KRW 990 billion) were conducted, and on-site contracts worth $49.9 million (approx. KRW 74 billion) were signed, particularly centered around K-food and K-beauty products, reaffirming their strong popularity in the U.S. market.

Thanks to the global rise of the Korean Wave (Hallyu), the strategic focus on specialized sectors such as K-bio, K-beauty, and K-food through a dedicated corporate exhibition proved highly effective.

Notably, participating beauty companies M and A secured multi-million dollar export deals with Home Shopping World, the largest Korean American shopping mall in the U.S.

At a time when U.S. tariffs are rising, the convention also drew attention for marking a significant step in helping small and medium-sized Korean businesses expand into the American market—following in the footsteps of major corporations.
