KOTRA (CEO Kang Kyung-sung) announced that it participated in the ‘US Bio Exhibition (BIO International Convention 2025, hereinafter referred to as Bio USA)’ held in Boston, USA from June 16 to 19 and operated the largest integrated Korean pavilion ever.

Bio USA is the world’s largest bio and pharmaceutical exhibition, and KOTRA organized the integrated Korean pavilion with a total of 58 companies in cooperation with five organizations including Seoul Bio Hub, Korea Institute of Technology Planning and Evaluation, and Chuncheon Bio Industry Promotion Agency.

A total of 200 1:1 consultations were held through this exhibition, and active discussions were also held with famous global companies. In particular, participating company A discussed specialized R&D collaboration with AstraZeneca for new drug development, and participating company B held consultations with Eli Lilly, which has recently been attracting attention in the obesity treatment market, focusing on future joint development of pharmaceuticals and expansion of partnerships.

In addition to these exhibition results, KOTRA also held the ‘Korea Bio-Tech Partnership 2025 (KBTP)’ with five organizations including the Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization to expand the global cooperation base. More than 500 experts in the bio and medical fields, including global pharmaceutical companies such as Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, and Roche, as well as officials from the world’s largest medical complex, attended the event.
