The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Minister Song Mi-ryeong) and KOTRA (President Kang Kyung-sung) announced that they successfully concluded the “2025 Australia Smart Farm Roadshow,” held in Melbourne, Australia from August 6 to 8.
The roadshow was organized to actively support the overseas expansion of Korean smart farm companies, in conjunction with the “FutureAG Expo,” the largest agricultural exhibition in Australia.
The “2025 FutureAG Expo,” where the Korea Pavilion was operated, is the most influential global agricultural technology exhibition in Oceania and has established itself as a hub for agricultural technology innovation worldwide. This year’s event attracted over 2,000 visitors and featured participation from more than 100 global companies showcasing the latest agricultural technologies and solutions. Innovative technologies such as smart sensors and AI-based agricultural management systems particularly drew attention on-site.
Ten Korean smart farm-related companies, including ISU Chemical, NextOn, and Hanbo Electric, participated in the Korea Pavilion. They exhibited AI-based cultivation solutions, automated environmental control systems, greenhouse management software, and smart sensors to visitors, generating strong interest. Over the three-day event, a total of 93 export consultations were held, resulting in deals worth USD 5.07 million in progress, confirming the export potential of Korean smart farms. Live data demonstrations and case studies were also shared at the booths, leading to practical cooperation proposals from buyers.
