Hyundai Rotem will cooperate with LIG Nex1 for defense exports.

Hyundai Rotem announced on the 6th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with LIG Nex1 for cooperation in defense exports in the Middle East at the 2024 Saudi World Defense Show (WDS) in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, on February 5 (local time).

The agreement was made based on the consensus of the two companies on the need to respond to the growing demand for defense products such as modernization of weapons systems, which are currently being concentrated in the Middle East, and strengthen the competitiveness of K-bangsan's overseas exports. Through the agreement, the two companies agreed to share related business data and information and provide mutual support for the progress of the export business.

Since signing a Memorandum of Understanding with LIG Nex1 in 2020, Hyundai Rotem has continued its cooperative relationship with LIG Nex1. Through the Memorandum of Understanding at the time, Hyundai Rotem agreed to cooperate with LIG Nex1 on the entire defense sector, including mobile weapons and unmanned systems, as well as overall defense exports.

In fact, through a number of defense exhibitions at home and abroad, Hyundai Rotem has introduced an integrated model equipped with LIG Nex1's guided weapons system and anti-drone integrated defense system (ADS) on its state-of-the-art unmanned system platform, showing wide platform scalability through collaboration.
