Cooperation to create a sustainable food environment and expand exports to the Middle East of K-food

On the 22nd, aT (President Kim Chun-jin) signed a business agreement with Modern Ideal Choice Co LLC (CEO Yeom Pyeong-ho), a Korean company entering Oman, at the World Trade Center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to create a sustainable food environment and expand exports to the Middle East of K-food.
Modern Ideal Choice was established in 2008 and operates a Hankuk Store in Muscat, Oman, and is a vendor company that supplies Korean agricultural and fishery foods and cosmetics to large local distributors.
Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to actively cooperate with each other to expand K-food exports to the Middle East market, including ▲ low-carbon dietary campaigns for carbon neutrality and global expansion cooperation ▲ Oman.
"We are happy to cooperate with a representative Korean company that supplies Korean agricultural and fishery products in Oman," said Kim Chun-jin, president of aT. "Let's increase the brand value of Korea by expanding exports of K-food to new markets in the Middle East and by promoting the 'low carbon diet' to Oman and neighboring countries, which mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Korea."
According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), food-related greenhouse gas emissions are serious enough to account for 31% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
In response, the public corporation, which is in charge of food, introduced a "low-carbon diet" campaign to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated in the entire production, distribution, processing, and consumption of food, and has signed agreements with 640 organizations in 38 countries, including 34 administrative and educational metropolitan governments nationwide, associations, organizations, and overseas companies, since 2021 to take the lead in the global spread of "low-carbon diet."
