OKA (Director Lee Ki-chul) will host the World Korean Association from October 1 to 4 at Lotte Hotel World in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
The 18th World Korean Day celebration will also be held at the same venue on October 4 during the competition.
More than 450 people will participate in the event, including current Korean presidents, presidents and executives of the Korean Association of 10 continents, and invited officials from overseas Korean-related organizations.
The competition consists of programs that are practically helpful to the Korean community under the goal of "contributing to the construction of a global central country through the global Korean network."
After the opening of OKA (2023.6.5.2023), the first official schedule will be the "feedback on suggestions from Korean communities" program, which presents the results of measures for suggestions raised through compatriot invitation events and compatriot meetings.
The plan is to make the World Korean Association a place of practical and continuous communication necessary to reflect and implement the opinions of the Korean community in policies, not a one-time event.
In addition, a discussion session will be held with the overseas Korean community to explore international social solidarity measures for the formation of new unification discourse and unification according to the basic liberal democratic order.
