MAFRA (Minister Song Mi-ryeong) and aT (President Kim Chun-jin) participated in the "2024 Vietnam Food & Beverage 2024" held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from the 8th to the 10th to focus on promoting the differentiated taste and healthy charm of K-food.

The Vietnamese Food and Beverage Fair is the largest food and beverage fair in Ho Chi Minh City, where you can see the latest trends in the Vietnamese food market at a glance. The fair was attended by more than 1,000 exporters and national governments, including Korea, Taiwan and Poland, for active export consultations.

Vietnam is a country with more than 100 million potential K-food consumers, and by the end of July this year, K-food exports to Vietnam increased 5% from the same period last year to $362 million. In particular, ▲ beverages (14.4% year-on-year↑) ▲ confectionary $13 million (20.0%↑) are driving export growth.

To expand Vietnam's K-food exports, MAFRA and aT set up an "Integrated Korean Pavilion" with 28 leading Korean K-food exporters. The Integrated Korean Pavilion introduced a variety of K-foods to target Vietnamese tastes, ranging from fresh agricultural products such as grapes and paprika to rice drinks and tteokbokki, as well as rice processed foods such as red ginseng, health functional foods, alcohols and beverages.

The Integrated Korean Pavilion held a demonstration and tasting event for K-street food, which young people are enthusiastic about, such as Kimbap and Rabokki, to attract buyers and consumers. In particular, it succeeded in capturing both local tastes and hearts by gaining explosive popularity with "Kimchi Banh Mi," which contains Korean healthy fermented food kimchi in a Vietnamese sandwich "Banh Mi."
