KOTRA (President Kang Kyung-sung) held the “Qingdao K-Goods Week” from July 18 for three days at Lida Plaza in Qingdao, China. The event was organized in collaboration with Qingdao Lida Group, a leading distributor in Shandong Province, to support the entry of Korean consumer goods into the Chinese domestic market.
Timed to coincide with the Qingdao International Beer Festival (July 18–August 16), one of China’s major regional festivals, the event offered a valuable opportunity to promote Korean products to local consumers and tourists.
Under the theme “Enjoy K-Goods Together,” the event featured exhibitions and sales of a wide range of products, including food, household items, cosmetics, clothing, and franchise goods. A total of 94 Korean consumer goods companies participated, showcasing around 330 products. Among them, food companies accounted for the largest group with 73 participants, followed by 16 household goods companies and 5 cosmetics companies.
KOTRA collaborated with Qingdao aT Logistics Co., Ltd. (the Chinese subsidiary of the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation), the Qingdao Trade Support Center of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, and the Korea Tourism Organization.
The event included tasting sessions of Korean snacks and fish jerky, a social media promotion campaign, a Korean tourism booth, and a paper folding activity, all of which drew strong interest from local visitors.
