Asia's Next Generation Leaders Conference will also be held at the same time
Hosted by World-OKTA (Chairman Park Jong-beom) and organized by Bangkok Branch (Chairman Shim Se-hwan), the "2024 Southeast Asian Regional Business Conference" will be held at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand for three days, starting with the opening ceremony on June 6.
Under the theme of "Building a Network for Sustainable ASEAN Korean Economists and Cooperation," the competition was designed to strengthen the network cooperation of Korean businessmen in ASEAN to actively take advantage of the rapidly expanding business opportunities along with the recent economic growth in Southeast Asia.
The competition will be joined by more than 150 Korean businessmen and local government officials from 27 branches of World-OKTA 17 countries.
The opening ceremony was attended by a large number of key local figures, including World-OKTA Chairman Park Jong-beom, South Korean Ambassador to Thailand Park Yong-min, and Korean Association President Jeon Yong-chang.

In this competition, various seminars and discussions will be held under the theme of "Recent Issues and Investment Environment in the Southeast Asian Economy" by △ Senior Researcher Jeong Jae-wan of the Institute for International Economic Policy △ "Private-led ESG Implementation Strategy in the Era of Climate Change" by Kim Young-woo, an environmental advisor at UNDP's Asia-Pacific Regional Headquarters △ "Economists' Views on the Thai Economy in 2015" by Yoon Yong, a professor at Chollarongcon University, and the event schedule will conclude with a closing ceremony on the 8th.
"ASEAN economic growth is clearly increasing amid the rapidly changing global economic environment," Shim Se-hwan, president of the competition, said in his opening speech. "It is time for Korean businessmen to strengthen their competitiveness for sustainable growth in the ASEAN region, and I hope this competition will serve as an opportunity to strengthen and expand the network of Korean businessmen in ASEAN."

Chairman Park Jong-beom said in a congratulatory speech, "Recently, economic cooperation with major ASEAN countries with dynamic and huge domestic markets has been expanded to areas such as digital, key minerals, electric vehicles, batteries, and defense. Now is a time when response is more important than prediction, and we look forward to this event as an opportunity to build a brighter future by working together to overcome the complexity of the global economy and seek innovative solutions."
The World-OKTA Regional Economists' Conference is held every year for the main purpose of strengthening World Octa Networking, a global organization, by promoting business networks through unity and harmony among continental members, sharing regional information, and expanding exchanges with local companies and organizations.
In addition, the "Japan and Asia Next Generation Leaders Conference" will be held at the Pattaya Mercure Hotel in Thailand for two nights and three days from June 7 in connection with the local businessmen's conference. The event will be attended by about 70 next-generation executives from East and West Asia and Japan.
During the conference, we will discuss new visions for next-generation activities, share regional characteristics, and have time for networking.
The Next Generation Leaders Conference is World-OKTA's next-generation talent training program held annually by World Octa for the purpose of discovering next-generation leading groups and network exchanges of next-generation people on each continent.
