aT performs export consultation of $15.2 million at "2024 Manila Food Fair"

MAFRA (Minister Song Mi-ryeong) and aT (President Kim Chun-jin) participated in the "2024 Manila Food Fair," the largest food fair in the Philippines, for four days from July 31 to August 3, achieving a total of $15.2 million in export consultation.

The Philippines is the largest exporter of K-foods after Vietnam among ASEAN countries, with exports reaching $136 million by the end of June this year, up 18.2% from the same period last year. In particular, ▲ ramen is growing evenly, with $24 million (32.9% ↑ year-on-year), ▲ beverage $34.0% ↑ beverage $8 million (34.0% ↑), ▲ citron $2 million (105.7% ▲) ↑ processed rice food $2 million (30.7% ↑).

To expand the Philippine market, MAFRA and aT formed the "Unified Korean Pavilion" with 11 leading K-food exporters and the Paprika Export Integration Organization to participate in the Manila Food Expo. The Integrated Korean Pavilion promoted a variety of K-foods, including fresh agricultural products such as paprika, sweet persimmons, and strawberries, as well as ramen, beverage, tteokbokki, and citron tea.

In particular, 57 leading buyers who supply local hypermarkets, hotels, and restaurants were invited to the fair to actively respond to the recent growing demand for K-food in the Philippines to arrange export consultations, which received favorable reviews from participating companies for their tangible consultation results such as on-site export contracts and MOUs.
