Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Korea Agro-Fishery Food Distribution Corporation Promotes K-Food at London Festival
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Minister Jeong Hyeong-geun) and the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (President Kim Chun-jin) participated in the "KOREA NOW Festival" held in Outernet in London on the 10th to promote the charm of K-food to young people in the local Gen-Z generation.
The Gen-Z generation refers to the generation born from the mid-1990s to the late 2010s in the UK, and the event was held at the complex cultural space Outernet, a hot place in central London, to mark the 140th anniversary of Korea-UK diplomatic relations.
The K-food promotion booth focused on major export items, including ramen, kimchi, and sauces, which are popular in the region, as well as alcoholic beverages that have recently emerged as promising items. In particular, as soon as BTS Jungkook's ramen recipe "Bulguri (Buldakbokkeummyeon + Raccoon)," postcard cards containing various recipes such as rabokki and hotteok, and a guide map of Korean food stores in London, the supply was quickly exhausted.
Meanwhile, the site also held a "K-food simulator" game competition aimed at Gen-Z generation to effectively promote the charm of K-food to young people familiar with virtual space. "K-food simulator" is a K-food experience game built by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the corporation on Roblox, a metaverse game platform enjoyed by young people around the world.
