The 3rd Nonsan World Music Festival was held from September 6 to 7 at the Nonsan Art Center Grand Performance Hall.
The Nonsan World Music Festival was designed to provide Chungcheongnam-do residents and Nonsan citizens with the opportunity to introduce and enjoy the music world of musicians who are active on the world stage, considering the fact that there are not many opportunities to experience talented musicians who are active internationally.
The Nonsan World Music Festival, which opened in 2018 as Brazilian musician Flavia Dantes, threw a fresh shock at the local culture in 2019 through performances by world-renowned diva Vivalda Doula. However, COVID-19 forced them to face a few years of hiatus, and the local cultural community also had to experience a recession. In 2024, performances by popular domestic singers from Taiwan and Canada were combined over two days, sparking an explosive reaction from the audience.
The festival was organized by Dong-eum (MJ Music) of the Dawon Arts Association and sponsored by Chungnam Provincial Government and Nonsan City. For two days, more than 1,000 audiences visited the concert hall and enjoyed a special music world unique to Nonsan that cannot be felt in other cities.
At the same time, this performance added richness by allowing people to experience the exotic world of music and even participating singers loved in Korea. The audience also had a good time with their families at the concert hall and reminiscing about memories of the past. Musicians also expressed their feelings that they felt like they received a very special gift as performers by participating in the Nonsan World Music Festival.
