MCST (Minister Yoo In-chon) will hold "2024 Korean Wave Living Culture Mockoji Korea (hereinafter referred to as Mockoji Korea)" in Budapest Park, Hungary, on October 5 and 6 with KOFICE (Director Park Chang-sik). This year, more diverse cooperative organizations, companies entering Hungary, and Korean Wave-related consumer goods companies will participate to introduce innovative products, services and various Korean Wave contents.
"Mokoji Korea" began in 2020 to enhance mutual cultural understanding between countries and expand the scope of Hallyu fans' interest from popular culture to living culture through the Korean Wave, which is spreading around the world. In the meantime, it has become a representative international Hallyu festival by visiting Hallyu fans from nine countries, including Kazakhstan, Myanmar, and the Philippines, to promote the charm of variousKoreann living cultures.
This year, we will visit Hungary, the cultural center of Central Europe, where large-scale K-pop concerts or Korean Wave events were relatively rare despite the high interest in the Korean Wave. In the past, solo concerts of K-pop groups have been held intermittently in Hungary, but this is the first time that a number of popular K-pop groups will be held on the same stage. The concert, which will be held on October 6, will feature K-pop singers Sunmi, AB6IX, and DreamCATCHER. In particular, in addition to the concert, K-pop singers and fans will talk together so that they can understand and communicate with each other about the culture of both Korea and Hungary.
