Actress Kim Tae-ri will participate in the "Planning and Developing Collaborative Contents in the Korean Wave in the Hanbok Sector" project to promote hanbok's attractiveness around the world with four hanbok companies.
Marking its fifth anniversary this year, the "Planning and Developing Korean Wave-linked Collaborative Contents" project is a project to promote hanbok's attractiveness to the international community by collaborating with influential Korean Wave artists and help competent hanbok brands advance into overseas markets. MCST (Minister Yu In-chon) along with the KCDF (Director Jang Dong-kwang) will select Hallyu artists for this project as actress Kim Tae-ri and will contest four hanbok companies that will plan and develop hanbok products with Kim Tae-ri from June 24 to July 8.
In 2023, actress and singer Suzy and in 2022, world-renowned sports star and former figure skater Kim Yu-na introduced the beauty of hanbok to the world as a Hallyu artist. This year, actress Kim Tae-ri will collaborate with a hanbok brand to plan and develop hanbok designs. The hanbok design, which was developed through the project, will be released to the public through various promotions including videos of Times Square electronic boards in New York.
The contest, which will be held for small and medium-sized companies in the hanbok sector, will select a total of four companies by examining their expertise, differentiation, practicality and expected effects. The selected companies will showcase eight hanbok designs per company under the motif of actress Kim Tae-ri.
