KCC in Thailand (Director Lee Sun-joo) held Korean culture experience events such as the Visiting Library at Thammasat University Taprazan Campus from the 16th to the 17th.

The Visiting Library" is an event to promote Korean books and introduce KCC's book loan service, which can be easily used in Thailand, to visit local educational institutions every year from 2022, to keep more than 500 Korean books and publications owned by the Cultural Center and support reading."

The event, which was attended by about 300 high school students and college students majoring in Korean Studies, was held in conjunction with the "Korea Day" open house hosted by the Department of Korean Studies at Thammasadong (a school opening event for high schools nationwide).

Participants showed a lot of interest by reading various books such as Korean, Korean, and Korean culture, as well as novels and self-development books translated and published in Thai such as "Pachinko" and "Laziness is a habit."

KCC also held a variety of Korean culture experience events, including hanbok and school uniform experiences, and Korean food cooking classes with aT Bangkok branch.

In particular, the "Making My Own Mask" contest was held to explain Korea's traditional masks such as Hahoe Mask and Bunetal, and participants selected the most original and cool masks among the masks completed by attaching various colored Korean paper to their taste.

Lee Sun-joo, president of KCC, said, "I am happy to hold an event to experience and enjoy Korean culture with Thammasandong, a historic prestigious university in Thailand established in 1934. In particular, Thammasandong was more interested in Korea and enthusiasm for research, with the promotion of Korean language studies from minor to major in 2023 and the opening of a Korean studies major in an undergraduate school for the first time among Thai universities. KCC will continue to play a role in promoting Korea's charm in Thailand and introducing Thailand's soft power to Korea. We ask students majoring in Korean language and Korean studies, which are at the center of the Korean Wave, to be a bridge between the two countries."
