MCST Promotes "2024 Korea Round Culture"...Support for cultural and artistic collaboration in nine countries

MCST (Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism) (Minister Yoo In-chon) will promote the "2024 Korea Round Culture" project to support collaboration between Korean and overseas cultural artists with KOFICE. 

MCST started the "Korea Round Culture" project in 2023 to discover and support various collaboration projects between domestic and foreign cultural artists in cooperation with overseas missions and cultural centers in Korea. This year, it will cooperate with nine countries, including Brazil, the United States, Canada, Italy, Thailand, Turkiye, Ukraine, Singapore and China, to discover and support a total of 12 collaboration projects. In various fields such as performances, exhibitions, and literature, creative cultures and K-culture from overseas countries will be presented, and in particular, it will expand exchanges between the two countries by conducting collaboration projects in Korea with Canada and Italy, countries that are the "2024-2025 Year of Intercultural Exchange."

First of all, rich and colorful collaborative events will be held in conjunction with major cultural and artistic events held in Korea. Starting with the Korean-Brazilian dance collaboration "Rotas Afora" (June) linked to the ▴ Busan International Dance Festival, the Korean-Canadian dance co-production project "BODY" (September), the 15th Gwangju Biennale-Canada Pavilion: Home and Other Places" (September-December), the ▴ Pyeongchang Daegwallyeong Music Festival-linked Korean-Italian Jazz Exchange (October) will be held.
