Virtual idol group PLAVE made a new history by recording career high with its first mini-album "ASTERUM: The Shape of Things to Come."

According to the Hanteo Chart, the first Playb Mini album recorded 200,000 initial sales (August 24 to August 30). This is more than seven times the initial sales of 27,900 copies of the debut album released on April 4, proving the tremendous growth of the Playb fandom.

The album, which the members wrote, composed, and choreographed themselves, is the title song "The Sixth Summer" and the fan song "Dear." It consists of songs that contain various charms of Playb members, such as "PLLI" and "Alien's Song," a CD-only song.

Related industries are paying keen attention to the fact that virtual idols introduced by Blast, a technology startup with no experience in entertainment, recorded 200,000 copies in the beginning. Although various virtual characters have released idol concept songs and music videos in Korea, China, and Japan, Playb is the first to create a strong K-POP fandom that has recorded 200,000 copies in the beginning.

It is also noteworthy that the recent five-person live broadcast on YouTube attracted 22,000 viewers from around the world, and more than half of the winners of the album's video call event are overseas fans, forming fandom in various countries such as China and Southeast Asia.
