More than 30 interns from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs to experience various Korean culture at KOCIS

Germany's KOCIS (Director Yang Sang-geun) held an event to introduce Korean culture to about 30 interns of the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs on January 17.
The event was designed to instill a proper awareness of Korea and Korean culture early on by introducing Korean culture to future German diplomats.
To this end, KOCIS divided Korea into two sessions: △ understanding the history of diplomatic relations between the two countries and △ experiencing the culture of Korea.
First, in order to understand the meaning of the 140-year-old diplomatic relations between the two countries, we had time to watch the exhibition of the 140th anniversary special exhibition 'Germany, Meet Korea' (Deutschland tript Korea) held at the Cultural Center.
Participants watched the process of change from photographs of the Joseon Dynasty in the 1880s when the two countries established diplomatic relations to the modern Republic of Korea, and seriously talked about the power of the Republic of Korea, which has achieved remarkable economic and cultural growth.
At the Korean culture meeting that followed, Father Norbert Weber, who published the book "The Land of the Morning Calm" in 1915 and introduced Korea to the West more than 100 years ago, found out about the Germans who connected Korea and Germany, including Franz Eckert, Korea's first national anthem composer, and shared their opinions.
In the following modern Korean culture experience time, participants had time to see, hear, and experience our culture in person, including writing △ Korean names, △ K-Pop dance workshops, and △ Korean food experiences.
