The Korean Cultural Center in Sweden will hold a Korean furniture and craft exhibition under the title "WITH Collection: Korean Design Today" from February 17 to March 30.

The exhibition will feature works by Korean designers who participated in the Stockholm Furniture Fair, which was held from Feb. 6 to 10. The Stockholm Furniture Fair is the largest design fair in Scandinavia, and this year, seven designers who have been actively engaged in Korean design participated together, drawing much attention from visitors.

Designed to promote Korean furniture and craft design to the Swedish public, the exhibition will move works that have been spotlighted at the fair to the cultural center. A Swedish exhibition official who helped locally said, "Korea is exploding in popularity with movies, music, and fashion, and I felt that the design field was also fresh and new," adding that he was happy to introduce the practical and flashy Korean design trend to Swedish visitors.

The exhibition was organized in cooperation with the Korean Cultural Center in Sweden by WEKINO, which is carrying out a wide range of projects in Korea, including lighting and living products, and Note Design Studio, an art direction team based in Stockholm.

It is expected that unique artists such as Lee Kwang-ho, KUO Duo, and Studio Cha Cha will participate to showcase their own unique design world completed using various styles and materials, and deliver new perspectives and impressions to Swedish visitors, the country of Ikea and the master country of Scandinavian interiors.

The Korean Cultural Center in Sweden said the exhibition will promote the efforts and capabilities of Korean furniture and craft designers to Sweden and further build a platform that can lead to cooperation in the design and craft fields of the two countries.
