The Seoul Cultural Foundation (CEO Lee Chang-ki) will recruit young artists to participate in the 2023 Porsche Dreamers on Media Art Project, a campaign to inspire artists and support their dreams, by May 22.
The project, which marks its second anniversary this year, is a media art social contribution project that produces works with donations from Porsche Korea and displays them in Korea's largest artium outer wall media located at the Samsung-dong Trade Center and smart shelters at major bus stops in Seoul.
This year, the contest will be held under the theme of "Dream and Color of the City." With the meaning of supporting the dreams and talents of new artists, we are recruiting two media artists (teams) who have been working based on CGI (computer graphic image) video technology in Korea for more than three to ten years since their debut. The final two people (teams) will be provided with 45 million won each as creative support. Compared to last year, the qualifications for application have been specified and the size of selection has been expanded.
The selected works will be produced as 60-second media art works, and will also be screened at the outer wall media of the Samseong-dong Trade Center Artium and smart shelter at bus stops at major hubs in the city so that more citizens can enjoy media works.
