On the afternoon of October 23, MCST Minister Yoo In-chon attended the opening ceremony of the 115th anniversary of Ahn Jung-geun's Harbin Revolution at the Korean History Museum to remember and honor Ahn Jung-geun's Harbin Revolution, which left a great footprint in the history of the Korean independence movement.

The opening ceremony will be joined by Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Kang Jeong-ae, Chairman Jeon Jae-soo of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee, Chairman of the Ahn Jung-geun Association, Kim Hwang-sik, Director of the Ahn Jung-geun Memorial Hall, and actor Jung Sung-hwa.

The special exhibition will be held from Oct. 24 to March 31, 2025 at the Special Exhibition Hall on the 3rd floor of the National Museum of Korean History along with the National Museum of Korean History, the Association for Commemoration of Ahn Jung-geun and the Memorial of Ahn Jung-geun. In this exhibition, Ahn Jung-geun's handwritten autographs will show the life and thoughts of Ahn Jung-geun. In particular, Ahn Jung-geun's handwriting "Independence" will be re-released in Korea for the first time in 15 years since 2009.

"Doctor Ahn Jung-geun was more concerned about the country than anyone else, built a school as an educator to cultivate talents, and as a chief of staff of the Korean military, there was no hesitation in the steps to protect the country in jeopardy," Minister Yoo In-chon said. "I hope that through this exhibition, we will feel the breath of the doctor who bloomed in the direction of silent incense and that his sublime thoughts will spread further and higher with a loud echo to us."
