Faculty of Humanities from Universitas Indonesia Visits Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies for Academic Cooperation Talks

Cyber Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (CHUFS, President Jang Ji-ho) announced that on April 15, a delegation from the Faculty of Humanities of Universitas Indonesia (UI), the top national university in Indonesia, paid an official visit to the university.

Founded in 1849, UI is Indonesia’s most prestigious national university, ranked 237th globally and 1st in Indonesia according to the 2024 QS World University Rankings. The Faculty of Humanities at UI established its Korean language major in 2006 and has continuously made efforts to promote Korean language and cultural education. This visit was initiated at the request of UI, seeking to strengthen friendly ties and build a foundation for practical academic exchange with CHUFS, which welcomed the opportunity to explore collaboration.

The visiting delegation included Bondan Kunumoyoso, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, and Untung Yuwono, Vice Dean, among others. CHUFS representatives who welcomed the delegation included Dean Kim Byung-chul, Director of the Global Education Center Won Jong-min, Graduate School Dean Lee Min-woo, Korean Language Department Professor Noh Chae-hwan, and Professor Jo Min-sung of the Vietnam and Indonesian Studies Department.

The two institutions discussed various forms of collaboration, including online-based credit exchange programs and degree-linked programs, forming a consensus on expanding practical cooperation.
