Park Kwang-hee, CEO of Thai liquor distributor OJR, has been officially appointed as the organizing committee chairman of the ‘Bangkok My Korea Awards’.
On May 3, CEO Park was appointed as the organizing committee chairman by the IP holder ‘My Korea (mykorea.kr publisher Jeon Ji-hye)’ at Mahidol University in Thailand, and will be handling related official schedules until the awards ceremony scheduled for this fall.
CEO Park Kwang-hee graduated from Myongji University’s Department of Business Administration and entered the Thai market early, paying attention to its potential. Since then, he has expanded his business by acquiring distributor OJR, focusing on the Korean community market, and has led the local liquor industry by successfully importing and distributing the traditional Korean soju brand Jinro exclusively in Thailand. Park said, “I want to contribute to introducing the true value of Korea in Thailand,” and expressed his ambition, saying, “Through this awards ceremony, I want to show what kind of presence Korean companies can have in the Asian cultural space.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Bangkok My Korea Awards’ is an event that highlights Korean Wave companies and individuals active in Thailand and discovers and rewards those who have contributed to the spread of the Korean Wave. It is hosted by the Bangkok My Korea Organizing Committee, organized by News K, and sponsored by the Korean Association in Thailand and Monthly My Korea.
