
The HanBrazil Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Daekeun Park) held its Q3 scholarship award ceremony and career seminar on Thursday, July 31, at the 2nd floor of K-Square Shopping Center in Bom Retiro, São Paulo’s Korean district.
Around 80 attendees, including scholarship recipients and their families, former advisors Youngchul Jaegal and Hongrae Kwon, Vice Consul General Bonil Koo, Police Attaché Inho Kim, and Education Director Sungkeun Park, gathered for the event, which was hosted by Secretary General Seongjoo Na.
Following the national anthem, Chairman Park delivered opening remarks expressing his hopes that the scholarships would serve not just as financial support but as a foundation for the students’ futures. He offered special thanks to former advisors Jaegal and Kwon for personally covering utility and operational costs over the past three years. Park also expressed gratitude to all members of the scholarship committee for their ongoing monthly support, urging students to “keep learning and preparing in this era of AI to avoid falling behind.”
Vice Consul General Koo emphasized in his congratulatory speech, “The seeds planted by the earlier generation of immigrants are now bearing fruit. This event represents the symbolic value of intergenerational support and positive cycles.”
