
Hosted by OKA and organized by the Overseas Koreans Cooperation Center (Director Kim Young-geun), the "2024 Next Generation Korean Motherland Invitation Training" will be held for about a month, starting with the opening ceremony in Incheon on July 16th, with 2,500 people from 75 countries (1,800 overseas Koreans and 700 Koreans) participating.
The Overseas Koreans Cooperation Center, established in June 2023, is striving to improve the level of the ▲ program of the 'Next Generation Koreans Invited to their mother country', which is the main project to establish itself as a public institution specializing in education and training for overseas Koreans, strengthen interactive communication with parents of ▲ trainees, operate an expert support group for specializing in ▲ training, improve the performance capabilities of consignment companies, operate an elite OKFriends volunteer group such as ▲ invited students, next-generation Koreans, and youth guidance students, and strengthen practical cooperation with local governments in the event area such as ▲ Incheon Metropolitan City and Gyeongju City.
Overseas Korean youth and college students who visit Korea from 75 countries for summer vacation from July to August this year will cultivate their identity and pride as Koreans through this home country training, while continuing to grow into global talents who contribute to the win-win development of Korea and its country of residence.
Kim Young-geun, head of the OKOCC Center, said, "We hope that the next generation of Koreans will serve as an opportunity to promote their bond with their motherland Korea and continue to exchange substantially. We hope that the center will continue to strengthen its global Korean capabilities and contribute to the development of Korea as a global central country."
