OKOCC (Director Kim Young-geun) held a completion ceremony for the "2024 CIS Invitational Training for Korean Language Teachers" at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies on July 25 to strengthen the capabilities of Korean language teachers.

Twenty Korean language teachers from four countries, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, received intensive Korean language training for three weeks at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in a three-week invitational training session from July 5 to strengthen the capabilities of the next generation of Korean language teachers in Russia and CIS.

Participating Korean teachers cultivated their identity as Korean language teachers by taking in-depth class classes for each Korean language ability, as well as special lectures on the history of Goryeo immigrants and Choi Jae-hyung's life as an independence activist. In addition, there was a program to improve Korean proficiency and presentation skills with a free topic 'Korean Speech Contest'.

In particular, for trainees who visited their home countries after switching to an all-invitation training program five years after COVID-19, they promoted pride in Korea through hands-on activities such as Deoksugung Palace, Suwon Hwaseong, Samsung Innovation, Gwangju Koryoin Village, Saenal School, and Jeonju Hanok Village, and felt the activities of Korean compatriots in Korea.
