The Seoul Metropolitan Government said this year that it will promote a new "International Cultural Exchange Project for Vulnerable Youths" (hereinafter referred to as "International Cultural Exchange Project") for vulnerable youth who have no overseas experience for the first time in local governments. The project is designed to help vulnerable youth broaden their international perspectives and enhance their understanding of global environmental issues under the theme of the climate environment.
The International Cultural Exchange Project, which will be held for the first time in 2024, is a project to cultivate talented people with a wide perspective by providing opportunities for international cultural exchange to vulnerable youth in Seoul who have not visited overseas.
The Miji Center, a specialized facility for youth international and cultural exchanges in Seoul, opened in 2000, is carrying out various programs to help teenagers grow into global citizens with international knowledge and win-win wisdom in the era of globalization.
The international cultural exchange project will select 50 vulnerable youths living in Seoul and run a climate environment-themed program for seven nights and nine days from September 5 to 13. The qualification criteria are vulnerable youths living in Seoul who have no experience visiting abroad, and participation fees are free of charge except for the passport issuance fee.
