Lee Ki-chul, director of the Overseas Korean Agency, invited a Korean cultural experience group consisting of children from Hanoi's "Hanbe Family Association" to the office building in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, on February 21 for a meeting.
The Hanbe Family Association set up a Korean cultural experience group with 20 people, including the second generation of Hanbe family and leaders, and visited Korea for five days from the 20th to the 24th.
At the meeting of the experience group, Director Lee Ki-chul said, "OKA is carrying out projects such as training for overseas Korean youth and college students, support for Korean language schools, and scholarship programs for overseas Koreans," and explained, "This is a policy effort to cultivate the identity of the next generation of overseas Koreans and their children aged 2 and 3."
"All children of multicultural families living around the world, including Korean-Vietnamese children, are direct targets for overseas Korean policies and projects," he said. "We hope you will pay attention to our efforts in the future and actively participate in various projects."
Director Lee also said, "I hope this visit will be an opportunity to cultivate an identity by experiencing various Korean cultures in various regions," adding, "I hope my children will be able to leave good memories."
Director Lee also had time to take commemorative photos and present souvenirs with the experience group.
