To commemorate Denmark's Climate and Energy Utility Minister's visit to Korea, 'Green Hydrogen R&D and Offshore Wind Power' cooperation will be increased

The Danish Embassy in Korea held the Korea-Denmark Hydrogen R&D Symposium and the Korea-Denmark Offshore Wind Business Conference at the FKI Tower Conference Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on March 6.
The "Korea-Denmark Hydrogen R&D Symposium" held at Diamond Hall on the 3rd floor of the FKI Tower Conference Center on the morning of the 6th focused on discussions on cooperation between the two countries to build a sustainable hydrogen economy. The event was hosted by four organizations: the Danish Embassy in Korea, the Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy Utilization, the Korean Federation of Businessmen, and the Hydrogen Convergence Alliance, and shared the current status of academia and industry in the green hydrogen sector in both countries and sought opportunities for P2X/X2P projects through international R&D cooperation.
The event was attended by a large number of high-level officials from major Danish institutions, including the Danish Minister of Climate and Energy Lars Aagaard, the Global Innovation Partnership Program (GINP) research mission that supports international research cooperation and networking by the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science, Energinet, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), Orhus University, Innovation Fund Denmark, and Green Power Denmark. In South Korea, Park Sang-wook, senior science and technology secretary at the presidential office, Park Chan-ki, hydrogen economy policy officer at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and a total of 12 companies and institutions from both countries, including the Korea Energy Technology Evaluation Institute, the National Green Technology Institute, and POSCO Holdings, expressed their interest in green hydrogen cooperation.
The Korea-Denmark Offshore Wind Power Business Conference, held at the same venue in the afternoon, was held to discuss ways and strategies for cooperation between the two countries to successfully spread offshore wind power and create an industrial ecosystem. The conference focused on △ introduction of policies for offshore wind power generation between the two countries △ risks for offshore wind power development and mitigation strategies △ creation of an ecosystem for the marine industry.
