Thirty-nine Republic Polytechnic University students listen to policies such as future vision in the Gyeongja area

The Chungcheongbuk-do Free Economic Zone Authority (Director Maeng Kyung-jae) announced on the 20th that students and student officials from Republic Polytechnic University in Singapore visited Osong.
Singapore Republic Polytechnic University is Singapore's top-notch public technology university, and the tour was made at the request of the university to visit Osong, a representative area of Korea's bio industry.
Thirty-nine people, including students and faculty majoring in applied science, visited Chungbuk Free Economic Zone Future Vision and various foreign start-up support policies, toured startup support facilities at the Chungbuk Changjo Economic Hyoksen Center, and watched promotional videos of large-scale international events scheduled to be held in Chungbuk, including the 2025 Yeongdong Gugak Expo and the 2027 Chungcheong World University Competition.
The Chungbuk Free Economic Zone Authority and the Chungbuk Creative Economy Innovation Center operate the "Foreign Start-up Support Program" for the first time in the country to promote the export of small and medium-sized companies in the province with excellent products by utilizing the domestic understanding of foreigners residing in Korea and local networks abroad. Through this program, 14 people from six countries, including China, Vietnam, Mongolia and Canada, have started their businesses and moved into the Osong Global Startup Center on the third floor of Osong SB Plaza to carry out export activities in connection with cosmetics and health functional food companies in the province.
Maeng Kyung-jae, head of the Chungbuk Free Economic Zone Authority, said, "It is very meaningful to introduce Osong, the center of the bio industry, to global talents who will work in the bio industry in the future, and we will do our best to become a global center of the bio industry."
